The Abuakwa north Municipal Assembly has formally received a newly constructed 2-storey, 12 unit dormitory block with ancillary facilities at AME Zion Senior High School which is expected to improve the situation of boarding students and provide better accommodation facilities.
The site handing over ceremony which took place on 5th September, 2025 at the forecourt of the building was attending by key stakeholders including the Municipal Chief Executive, Coordinating Director, Director of Education, Headmistress, lead Consultant and staff of the assembly and contractors.
The project, funded FPMU/ GETFUND, was executed by ARCKITO Consult. They keys to the block were handed over to the MCE after a thorough inspection was carried out to confirm the practical completion of the project.
The Municipal Education Director urged the school administration to ensure proper maintenance and utilization of the new facility to maximize its benefit to the school.
Hon. MCE emphasized his commitment to to ensuring the progress and quality of government and GetFund projects across the municipality, stating that he had inspected all ongoing projects since he assumed office.
