Kukurantumi – Saturday, June 1, 2019: The Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly celebrated its first anniversary on 1st June, 2019. The anniversary was preceded with series of activities which included Radio discussion, Health Walk and Screening Exercise, Launching of Kukurantumi Market Day, Moslem and Christian Thanksgiving Services and a Grand Durbar.
Speaking at the Grand Durbar to commemorate the first anniversary of the Assembly, the Eastern regional Minster, Hon. Eric Kwakye Darfour lauded the Assembly for the modest achievements it has chocked during its one year of existence. He charged Management and Staff of the Assembly to do more and work assiduously to ensure the overall development of the municipality since there was more to be done. He appealed for the support of the Chiefs and citizenry for the Assembly to achieve its set targets and objectives.
The first anniversary celebrations was very successful with Chiefs, citizenry and people from all walks of life gracing the grand durbar to commemorate the event.
