Kukurantumi – Tuesday, May 28, 2019: As part of its efforts to boost the economy of the Municipality through trading, the revitalized Kukurantumi Market was commissioned and Market Days – Tuesdays and Fridays, launched. A Market Management Committee (KMMC) was equally inaugurated to manage the market. In an inaugural speech, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Jeremiah Agyekum Amoafo indicated that the relaunch of the Day has become necessary due to the collapse of the previous Market. He urged citizens and traders to patronize the market for local economic development.
Present at the launch were the Hon. MCE, Chiefs and Elders, Assembly Members, Zonal Council Members, traders and the entire citizenry of Kukurantumi.
