Osiem – Tuesday, July 14, 2020: The Osiem Zonal Council held its second quarter meeting at the Pentecost Church, Osiem
The main agenda was orientation for two sub-committees of the Zonal Council, namely; the Development and Services Sub-Committee and the Finance and Administration Sub-Committee.
The Municipal Planning Officer, Royal Antwi, pointed out to members of the Development and Services Sub-Committee that for them to effectively plan for the development of the Zone, they needed to identify its potentials, strengths as well as weaknesses and threats and carry out frequent and extensive engagement of citizens for their input and cooperation.
The orientation for the Finance and Administration sub-committee as well as the commission collectors was handled by Mr. Foster Okyere, an Assistant Budget Officer. He charged the commission collectors to be discreet in their approach to ratepayers to ensure greater compliance and serve as good ambassadors of the Assembly and the Zonal Council.
Present at the meeting were the Zonal Council Chairman Hon. Abdul Rahman Abdulai, the Secretary, Hon. William Adu Obiri and the Administrator, David Ferguson Senoo.
